For the second time this season, the New England Patriots will play in the Thursday night game as they travel to Tampa to take on Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers.

Here's the Tampa Bay Times' Bucs coverage team's instant analysis from the Bucs' 19-14 loss to the New England Patriots.

Winston's stat line was once again aesthetically pleasing by game's end, but the end result was still disappointing from the Bucs' perspective.

One of the kicks was a 56-yarder before halftime, into the wind, so the miss there is at least reasonable. He missed kicks of 49 and 31 yards in the fourth quarter, the latter with 5:39 remaining and the Patriots clinging to a 16-7 lead. He missed two big field goals and almost sucked the air out of his team. He also has 25 postseason victories. The next closest team, the Indianapolis Colts, had been averaging 60.6 yards per game fewer than New England.

This was the kind of game that the Patriots defense needed, and perhaps the offense struggling made it even better for them.

Tampa Bay's kicking woes are one of the more inexplicable trends in recent National Football League history. Defensive tackle Will Clarke, who came in for the injured DT Gerald McCoy, recovered Glanton's fumble to give the Buccaneers offense another shot.

Winston finished 26 of 45 with 334 yards and zero interceptions.

The Patriots expect Gronkowski and running back Rex Burkhead (ribs) to be ready for their next game in 10 days against the New York Jets, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. For the first time all season, they held an opponent to less than 20 points, carrying a bigger share of the load on a night when Tampa's pass rush was getting to Tom Brady easily.

Since 2003, New England is 43-6 in regular-season games following a loss.

Start with Brady, who at 40 is playing better than ever.

Check out some of the highlights and reactions to last night's thriller at Raymond James Stadium (below). He purchased the franchise in 1995 for a then-record $192 million.

Meanwhile, when the Atlanta Falcons come to town on October 22 in a Super Bowl LI rematch, the Patriots will go with a blue pants/blue jersey combination.

TE Rob Gronkowski (thigh) was added to the injury report on Wednesday as the Patriots prepared to fly to Tampa for Thursday night's battle with the Bucs. Tandy's backup T.J. Ward (hip) was inactive, too. In fact, it wasn't until the very end of the third quarter that Winston broke 100 passing yards. As they've done so many times before, though, the Patriots answered on the next drive, with Brady hitting Chris Hogan to cap off a nice drive.
