It's a script that's become too familiar for the Seattle Seahawks.

Surprisingly behind at halftime to an injury-riddled Indianapolis team that was nearly a two-touchdown underdog, Seattle used its best two quarters of the season to turn the game into the hoped-for feel-good rout, beating the Colts 46-18.

"It was a terrific night".

"That's the Russell that we like", receiver Doug Baldwin said after the game. That could lead to long-term issues for the Seahawks, especially if it forces him to the sidelines for a large chunk of the regular season. And Smith, who finished with 1 1/2 sacks, was a former first-round pick who was a bust with Philadelphia. However, Brissett was facing the Browns in Week 3. But the ball went off Graham's hands and to Indianapolis safety Malik Hooker, who returned it to the 24. Seattle had four touchdown drives of six plays or longer in the second half, all of them at least 74 yards. He enters this week needing 50 yards rushing to pass Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson (13,529 yards) for No. 7 in National Football League history.

"The third quarter, the offense went right down the field and scored, and it just took off from there".

The Seattle Seahawks placed rookie running back Chris Carson on injured reserve Monday after he broke his left leg Sunday night in the team's 46-18 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Team doctors had to place Carson's leg in an air cast, immediately signaling bad news for the rookie out of Oklahoma State.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Odhiambo took a hard hit to the chest on an interception in the third quarter and needed medical attention in the locker room after the game when he suddenly had trouble breathing. And they did enough on offense to hold a 15-10 lead at the break thanks in part to Brissett's 18-yard touchdown pass to Donte Moncrief in the final minute of the half. In the second half, he was just 2-of-9 for 15 yards. Seattle is the biggest favorite of the week, by far, giving Indianapolis 13 points, via OddsShark. Seattle outscored the Colts 36-3 in the second half, which happened to be the biggest point deficit in Seahawks history. Though the crowd wasn't going to be much of a factor as the Seahawks continued building on their lead in the second half, the Colts did a pretty good job clearing that specific point of emphasis.

Said Wilson: "I think that as a competitor there's moments where certain things get you going and also get the team going as well".

New Hall of Famer Kenny Easley had his No. 45 retired by the Seahawks at halftime.

BACK IN BUSINESS: While the Colts continue to wait for the return of Luck and center Ryan Kelly, their best defensive player, cornerback Vontae Davis, sounds like he will play. Boyd suffered a knee injury.
